Michael Lange is the founder of PERSPECTIVE360, a consulting firm that educates and trains organizations in both the public and private sectors for emergency preparedness. He is currently a Detective Commander of a Police Department in Lake County Illinois and also works as an adjunct professor at Carthage College. Michael is the Team Commander of the Lake County Police Incident Management Assistance Team. By utilizing his extensive training in the National Incident Management System, his team is able to implement protocols established through FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security to assist in critical incidents.

Michael holds a B.S. in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. He received his M.A. in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Michael is certified by the State of Illinois and the FBI as a firearms instructor, an ITOA rapid deployment instructor and a MACTAC instructor. He is also a certified ALERRT rapid deployment instructor which has been named as the national standard in active shooter response training by the FBI. He is an active member of ASIS International.

Michael uses his knowledge and expertise as he works with local businesses, schools, and religious institutions to develop procedures on how to respond to active threats and dangers. He's assisted TrueNorth District 804, Lake Forest School of Management,  Music Institute of Chicago – Lake Forest Campus, Horizon Pharma, Pactiv, Packaging Corporation of America, Gorton Center, The Winter Club of Lake Forest and Compass Heath Center.

During his 18 year career, he has overseen and implemented active shooter response training for area law enforcement agencies. Michael has had personal experiences in dynamic violent situations. He believes that preparedness and proper training are key to surviving these types of events. PERSPECTIVE360 was formed to help educate organizations and help them prepare for an active threat.
